Richard David Hayes, age 60, of Jefferson passed away Monday, April 19, 2021. Richard collected arrowheads. He fished and watched baseball. He was a Georgia Bulldog fan. Survivors include his mother Marion Evelyn Hayes; sisters Connie Long of Jefferson and Louise Fortner of Hoschton. He was preceded in death by his father David Hayes, Jr. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Center United Methodist Church, 7641 Jackson Trail Road, Hoschton. Rev. Pinkey Patterson will be officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
