Tim was an amazing Tow Truck Driver and you could learn a lot from him. He was known throughout the county of Jackson and would show up for a fellow driver whenever he was needed. I remember him showing up for a fellow member of my work staff with his tow truck and helping lead the pack. Tim was a good guy all around he will be messed.
I met this gentleman and his wife at the Florida Tow Show thus past weekend. We had an extra room and I didn’t want to lose my money so I posted it on tow talk. He replied and came down for the show. On Saturday Megan & I sat and talked with them for a little while. I met one wonderful down to earth man. We talked about towing, family, love, just a little bit of everything.
I think he knew he was sick because our conversation was very in depth at times. We laughed, we cryed, we laughed again! He told me I was an angel and pure hearted to trust someone I did not know but in the business we are in all we have is the voice on the other end of the phone to trust and believe that person will do what is right in the end. He believed that if a grown man did not cry he was not a man and for us to run as fast as we can to get away from that person. He told me I was going to be okay and I needed to keep pushing and keep my gut instinct to stay in line with my mind not my heart even though he knew it was a diamond. Very knowledgeable in towing he started with one small wrecker and moved his business over the years to heavy wreckers.
Sunday, his wife messaged me to tell me they left early and when they got home Mr. Tim went into cardiac arrest and they lost him but he came back. We stayed in touch through out the week. I received the message early Friday morning that he had passed away. My heart was broken! I have spoken to several of his family members yesterday and today with the words “Thank for being so nice and touching my father’s heart!
The Lord put him in my path or put me in his path for a reason. That reason I’m sure will come to me in The Lord’s timing and Grace. So for now I will cherish and honor the man I met by chance just for a short time.
