Frances (Fran) Edens O’Guin

Frances (Fran) Edens O’Guin, born in Detroit, Michigan to a family of 16 children passed away at the age of 93 from a stroke on May 14, 2024 at Life Care Center of Lawrenceville Ga.  She was a devoted wife following her husband in his ministries which led them to Duluth, Georgia in late 1971. She was a loving mother of 5 children and a retired Gwinnett County special needs bus driver. She was a charter member of the Auburn Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was an organizer and leader of a group called Recovery that helped people with mental health issues. As a resident of Life Care Center she enjoyed her new friends, playing bingo and bean bag toss. She especially enjoyed family visits, going outside to the gardens and singing hymns and playing her favorite card game rummy which she was really good at! She was proceeded in death by her husband Ken and her son Dalton. She is survived by her son Dwight (Cindy) O’Guin of Hoschton, daughter Leah (Darryl) Dietrich of Winder, son David (Vickie) O’Guin of Winder, son Larry (Bonnie) O’Guin of Myrtle Beach, SC; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 2nd  2024 at the Auburn Seventh Day Adventist Church in Auburn Georgia.
